Will The Last Player Out Please Shoot Out The Lights
posted by Absinthe | 6:45 PM
Back at Commerce. $540 NLHE shootout today. Feeling good.
At the first break and probably feeling better than I should, considering it’s 100/200 blinds when we come back and I have T1350.
Here’s an epitomizing hand:
I raise to 450 with AA. Shorty on the button goes all-in. Big stack BB goes all-in. Obviously I call. Shorty has AQo. BB has AQo. Guy on my right folded a Q. Flop is 568 rainbow. Turn: 9. River: 7. Chop! I’d be a little happier if I’d won that pot.
Hon Le is two to my right and keeps moving in on my blind. First time I showed K6o after I reluctantly mucked. He had 77. Next time I do the same with K3o. He had 55. Funny thing is I would have called each time if it’d been a race (i.e. K8 would have been good enough the first time, K6 the second). I’m sure next time I’ll have K2 against his 33.
